WASHINGTON, D.C. – WERC, the professional association for global talent mobility, announced today that it will welcome four new members to its board of directors for a three-year term starting 1 Jan. 2025.
WERC's board is responsible for setting its mission, vision, and strategic direction, ensuring the organization has the necessary resources to advance its mission. The incoming board of directors represents the next critical piece in the ongoing transformation of WERC and another important step in continuing to strengthen WERC's role as the leading authority and convening platform for every aspect of the talent mobility industry around the world. WERC is the only global organization of its kind dedicated to serving and shaping the future of the talent mobility industry—for the industry, by the industry.
These additions come as the organization prepares to gather in person for GWS 2024, the premier event for global talent mobility and relocation professionals. Talent mobility leaders from the world’s most prominent corporations will attend the prestigious event being held 22-25 October, in National Harbor, Maryland.
Joining the board are:
- Dick Burke, President and CEO, Envoy Global
- Ron Dunlap, CEO, Graebel Companies
- Linda Smith, Chief Commercial Officer, Sirva
- Rajiv Thadani, Principal, KPMG
“In identifying this year's nominees, we sought to complement the existing board's strengths with immigration, global RMC, tax, and technology expertise,” said Mark Burchell, WERC’s incoming board chair. “We also prioritized leadership experience with a growth orientation, financial and business acumen, diverse insights, and forward-thinking perspectives. We recognize the importance of representing the diversity of our global industry and strive to see that diversity in all forms be reflected in our board leadership for the benefit of those we serve.”
“WERC is deeply fortunate and grateful to have received applications from an outstanding group of professionals from diverse geographies and sectors, representing a wide range of experiences,” said President and CEO Anupam Singhal. “Our list of nominees reflects a thorough and thoughtful evaluation process conducted by two separate committees—the Recruiting Committee and the Nominating Committee—both made up of respected industry leaders with a deep understanding of WERC and our field.”
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Dick, Linda, Rajiv, and Ron aboard and to join the Board of Directors as we work to continue boosting the value WERC creates for its members, worldwide,” added Singhal.
WERC also thanks its outgoing board members, Ashli Aldrich, Veda Smith Consulting, and Eluned Wallace, The Walt Disney Company, for their service. View the current list of WERC leadership.
