WASHINGTON, D.C. (10 June 2024)— WERC, the leading organization dedicated to the global talent mobility industry, today announced the appointment of Amber Crowell Kelleher as its new chief operating officer.
Kelleher brings more than 15 years of experience in strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence within the association industry. She is a results-oriented leader with a proven track record of cultivating inclusive cultures, engaging stakeholders, and translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes.
Amber Crowell Kelleher previously served as managing director/COO for the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), which subsequently combined with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA).

In her previous role as the executive director of TESOL International Association, Kelleher led the development of a multiyear strategic plan and operationalized strategies that reversed the organization’s deficit position to a surplus. She also achieved zero employee turnover within 18 months by implementing an effective staffing plan and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Kelleher holds a Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Science in marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
