Exciting insights were shared at a corporate mobility roundtable during the New England Relocation Association (NERA) summer event on 17 July at Top Golf near Boston.
NERA had the privilege of gathering a diverse group of 17 corporate attendees from various industries to discuss the evolving talent mobility landscape and the changing role of mobility experts.
Two concepts—“Workplace of Yesterday” and “Workplace of Tomorrow”—were presented during the roundtable. These concepts were illustrated using a pendulum to highlight market focus areas and new virtual work experiences. The discussion provided valuable insights into how mobility professionals can help their organizations achieve the right balance between in-person, hybrid, and remote work schedules.
The roundtable emphasized the importance of the mobility toolbox, which includes leveraging technology, harnessing generative AI capabilities, and utilizing connected data insights. These tools allow companies to remain agile and adaptive in today’s intense regulatory environment across industries.
Key takeaways from the discussion revealed new mandates for anyone involved in the talent mobility industry. Ecosystem curation, digital pioneering with data science, and designing seamless experiences emerged as critical themes. Additionally, the group explored the enhanced role of talent mobility professionals in strategic partnerships and their vital contribution to risk oversight across the entire talent mobility spectrum.
After the engaging roundtable, we transitioned into a fun-filled evening with great food, meaningful networking, and an absolute haven for golf enthusiasts.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting, which will take place on 26 September in Rhode Island. Registration will open soon on the NERA site.
