WERC is significantly bolstering its public policy infrastructure to proactively tackle the escalating challenges facing the talent mobility industry. Starting in February 2025, WERC has engaged Alignment Government Strategies (AGS) to support its U.S. lobbying and government relations efforts. AGS, based in Washington, D.C., is a bipartisan full-service government relations firm. Its clients include corporations, not-for-profit associations, public entities, and other organizations.
AGS partners bring over 100 years of combined policy expertise in fields such as tax, trade, immigration, manufacturing, transportation, energy, budget and appropriations, and judiciary and intellectual property. Tracy Taylor, J.D., Counsel at AGS, will oversee AGS’s work with WERC. Taylor has over 25 years of public policy experience, including work on Capitol Hill, as a federal agency appointee, and as a private sector lobbyist.
Tristan North will continue to support WERC and the talent mobility industry as a government affairs adviser. North will focus on advocacy efforts to reinstate the moving expense tax deduction and exclusion.
