People iconU.S. Regional Relocation Groups

U.S. regional relocation groups are local networks of talent mobility professionals across the United States, with many participants also being WERC members. This partnership creates a powerful network that benefits talent mobility professionals at all levels.

What Are Regional Relocation Groups?

Regional relocation groups are local networks within WERC membership. They bring together talent mobility professionals from a specific geographic area. These groups typically consist of:

  • Corporate Talent Mobility and Relocation/ Human Resources Managers: Professionals responsible for employee relocation within their companies.
  • Service Providers: Companies offering relocation services like household goods transportation, home sale/purchase assistance, and settling-in services.
  • Industry Experts: Consultants, lawyers, and other professionals specializing in employee mobility.

Benefits of Regional Relocation Groups:

  • Local Expertise: Access to professionals with in-depth knowledge of the specific challenges and opportunities in their region. This can be invaluable for companies relocating employees to a new area.
  • Networking Opportunities: They offer a platform for talent mobility professionals to connect, share best practices, and build relationships. This fosters collaboration and keeps members up to date on the latest trends in the industry.
  • Professional Development: WERC partners with regional groups to offer educational programs, workshops, and other resources to help members stay current in their field. U.S. regional relocation groups typically apply for and receive recertification credits for their educational sessions that can be applied to renewing a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP®) or Global Mobility Specialist (GMS®) certification.
