About WERC’s Momentum Mentorship Program

The WERC Momentum Mentorship Program takes participants through a project-based mentorship journey designed to cultivate the next generation of global mobility leaders. This program goes beyond traditional mentorship by fostering structured, team-based collaboration where pods of mentors, mentees, and advisors work together to interpret and tackle an annual theme, leading to the development of ideas, insights, or solutions that contribute to the industry in meaningful ways.

Through a curated mix of education, mentorship, and competitive project-based collaboration, participants gain hands-on experience, build critical industry relationships, and enhance their leadership skills. By engaging both emerging and established professionals, WERC ensures the continued growth and evolution of global mobility, equipping future leaders with the tools and insights they need to succeed in an ever-changing landscape.

Advance alongside industry leaders across every sector of global mobility in a mentorship experience designed to sharpen your skills, expand your perspective, and refine your problem-solving approach. Build a powerful professional network needed to navigate and lead in an ever-evolving field.

IMPACT

Broaden the influence of global mobility by fostering partnerships beyond the industry and driving awareness of its value in the broader business world. Through strategic collaboration and advocacy, this program helps highlight the critical role of global mobility, positioning it as an essential function that drives business success and workforce innovation.

Program milestones

1. March - Program Application Deadline

Recruitment will run from November through March for mentors, mentees and advisors.

2. Annual Theme Selection

Annual theme is determined by the Executive and Strategy Committees based on current industry trends.

3. April through June - Program Building

Planning commences; theme shared and built out, committees engaged on their respective roles in preparation for launch.

4. 7 July - Program Kickoff

Each Team works independently on project presentation based on the annual theme. Mini-challenges are put into place to monitor progress and increase engagement.

5. October - Judging Begins to Select Winners!

Judging panel team picks the top 3-4 team presentations to present to the entire program. Winner (chosen by group) will present at an education session held at a WERC event.
